Abseiling At Cotter Rocks - Half Day
Experience the thrill of abseiling with your experienced adventure guide at Cotter Rocks! This challenging experience is sure to excite with its 20+ metre abseils and guided half day expedition. You can even test your bravery and challenge yourself to abseil face-first!
Pack up your sunscreen, runners and don’t forget your sense of adventure when embarking on this amazing abseiling experience. The afternoon begins with a safety briefing, followed by practicing your skills on the level ground.
Once confident, you will move to the abseil wall to take the challenge. You will be led by an experienced tour guide, rappelling down 20+ metre walls. All specialist equipment is provided for you, as well as light refreshments during the abseiling experience.
After enjoying a break for some well deserved afternoon tea, you may take the option of climbing back up the wall while attached to a safety rope. This experience does not require you to have prior tuition in abseiling – you will be taught everything you need to know on the day!
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
A 20 minute drive from the centre of Canberra.
Session Length
This experience operates on Saturdays throughout the year, subject to availability. Groups of 4 or more can book at any time.
Guidelines:
No experience necessary – All training will be provided.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of 4 people on the day. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, we reserve the right to postpone your experience for a later date.
Spectators:
Not suitable for spectators.
Weather:
We reserve the right to cancel any trips due to any reason beyond our control. (Poor weather conditions, insufficient numbers). In the event of a cancelled trip, we will endeavour to reschedule your experience for a later date.

All participants will need to sign a waiver of liability assumption of risk form prior to departure.

We had a really good abseiling experience enhanced by a sunny day and a beautiful backdrop. Both guides were patient and friendly, and showed knowledge and attention to detail when explaining the technical and safety aspects. We enjoyed a full afternoon and made four descents and one ascent. The guides also prepared a smorgasbord of afternoon tea goodies for the tired and thirsty beginners. I had an amazing time - our instructor (Rohan) was professional, friendly and encouraging which added to the overall experience. My intention for the day was to challenge myself and have fun, and I felt this was achieved well beyond my expectations. I would absolutely, without qualification, have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone!

What an awesome experience!! Rohan was a very friendly & experienced instructor who was only too happy to go along with what the group wanted. Afternoon tea was provided "all afternoon" and the group size was just right! An amazing day that I would highly recommend (and already have) to all my friends.. Thanks for a wonderful day :-)
