As the sun sets over the trees, the jungle begins to come alive! Join our expert guide through the spectacular Daintree Rainforest and watch the nocturnal animals come out from hiding! This is a fascinating way to see the rainforest in a different light!

A jungle nightwalk is a novel way to check out the beautiful Daintree Rainforest in Cape Tribulation. Most creatures within the rainforest are nocturnal so the walks can provide a great insight into nature at its best.

We regularly see snakes, lizards, possums, spiders, bandicoots, insects and more. The walking tracks are graded easy to moderate for people with a medium level of fitness or above, so most people can easily participate in the walk.

On the night of your tour, we will collect you from your resort and drive you to our beautiful property in Cape Tribulation. From here, our guides will gear you up with torches and ponchos (if necessary) and you will head out into the forest. Our tracks follow natural tracks made by animals or water and lead you through a valley to our wet season creek and through amazing old growth rainforest.

Venue:

This activity takes place at Cape Tribulation, Queensland (approximately 2.5 hours north of Cairns).

Session Length

This experience is 2 hours in duration. Please book at least 48 hours in advance of your preferred date. We operate everyday of the year except Christmas Day.

Guidelines:

Our tracks are graded easy to moderate, thus a moderate level of fitness is required.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We are the only nightwalk in Cape Tribulation with scientist guides and a guaranteed maximum of 11 people. The smallest nightwalk group size of any tours in the area.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

Our guides are highly qualified with degrees in Science (Zoology, Biology, Marine Biology and Botany) and years of experience both in the rainforest and on the reef, so we offer a tour that is unique, fun and educational, all in one.
