Ever wanted to run away with the circus? You and a friend can come and try your hand at all things trapeze. If swinging from a trapeze rig sounds like fun, then you've come to the right place. Enjoy 90 minutes of pure adrenalin swinging fun with personal tuition from your experienced instructor!

You and a friend will enjoy learning the circus trapeze in this circus skills workshop! At your flying-trapeze workshop, your instructors will warm you up with specific stretches and take you to a 'ground' level practice bar. Your safety belt is fitted and you will learn, on the practice bar, the 'position' to be performed whilst swinging.

You will be instructed how to 'take-off' on your first flight, with an instructor holding you at all times in your safety harness! The first trick learned is called a 'knee-hang'. Once you have mastered that in just a few swings you can also easily learn how to complete a 'back-flip' down to the net.

After 4 or 5 practise swings you are briefed for your big finale, the 'Catch'! One of our catchers will take you by the wrists as you release yourself from the bar and, hey presto, you'll be swinging from the catcher as though you were in the circus! You will have 2 attempts at the catch at the end of your workshop, and for your efforts you and a friend will be rewarded with a certificate for the tricks you have mastered.

This experience is 90 minutes in duration.

Session Length

We are open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays), subject to weather. This activity starts at 3pm. We are very busy during the school holiday period. We recommend booking your activities at least 2 weeks in advance. The flying trapeze workshop is 90 minutes in duration.

Guidelines:

The flying-trapeze is suitable for ages 6 and up. You must not weigh more than 90 - 100kg to participate.

Numbers:

This experience is for 2 people. There may be others in the workshop on the day. The flying-trapeze workshops receive one-on-one training - as only one person can fly at a time!

Spectators:

Spectators are very welcome!

Weather:

All activities are subject to suitable weather. In the case of bad weather, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Other Info:

A release form must be signed for all activities, children must be signed for by parents / guardians. Please ensure that sunscreen is worn on the day – do not apply to the hands, wrists or the back of the knees.

    This was a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, approachable, and made it all the easier to take that flying leap! I highly recommend this from the young to the old. It truly made for an amazing afternoon, and my partner and I are interested in going back for more!
