The perfect introduction to Latin dance, this course introduces the beginner dancer to the vivacity, diversity and culture of Latin dance. Covering popular styles including Salsa, Merengue, Lambaba and Bolero, classes in this course are tailored to students’ needs, and work to develop the technique, expression and musicality that defines Latin dance.

11x 1 ½ hour classes over the duration of 11 week dance class term

Venue:

The suburb of West End in Brisbane, Queensland.

Session Length

1x 1hour and 30 minute class per week, over the 11 week duration of the course. A variety of Latin Beginners Courses have classes which operate throughout the week with starting times between 5:40pm and 7:30pm, depending on the weeknight. Enrollment in a specific class is subject to availability.

Guidelines:

Minimum age for participants is 18 years of age.

Numbers:

Classes are run by qualified dance instructors with the aid of student supporters. Each class takes between 10 to 30 students, both men and women.

Spectators:

This experience is not suitable for spectators

Weather:

This experience is not affected by the weather.

Suitability Information:

We are wheelchair accessible, although the nature of the experience requires physical capability. Our experience is suitable for those with vision and hearing impairments, however comprehension of music and dance instruction are parts of the experience and participants should have sufficient sight.
