Skid pan driver training gives you the chance to jump behind the wheel of your own car or our Lotus Exige and learn the secrets to increased vehicle control. We'll teach you what to do in situations to avoid injury or damage and by the end of the training session you'll be a safer driver!

Become a safer and more aware driver, receiving tips from the experts on Mt Cotton's Diesel Skid Pan. This is the ultimate in driver training and skid pan control!

Just imagine, it's a miserable wet day and you're unaware that a truck travelling ten cars in front of you is dropping diesel all over the road. Suddenly the car in front props and you have to brake and swerve to avoid a collision. Your car skids sideways! What you do next could save your life. Do you know what you would do?

Driving one of our rear-wheel drive Lotus Exige's, you will be personally coached in the skills necessary to correct a skidding car. During the skid pan driver training you will work to correct oversteer and understeer and learn what to do if you lose control of your car. More importantly, you will learn how to avoid getting into these situations in the first place!

You are also welcome to try your own car on the skid pan (subject to noise restrictions).

Please Note: You must hold a valid driver's licence which must be brought with you on the day. If you choose to drive your own vehicle it must be well serviced and in a roadworthy condition with valid registration and insurance.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Mt Cotton, Queensland - 30 minutes south of Brisbane and 45 minutes from the Gold Coast.

Session Length

Skid pan driver training takes place on selected dates throughout the year. Courses generally run from 5pm – 9pm. Please arrive 15 -20 mins prior for sign in Bookings are essential and we recommend you book well in advance to secure your preferred date.

We suggest you only purchase a voucher for one of the dates listed above if you plan to redeem your voucher and book the date today.

Guidelines:

You must hold a current unrestricted driver's licence and be competent using a manual transmission. L and P-plates are acceptable if you are driving your own car. Bring your licence with you. You must be drug and alcohol free, otherwise we reserve the right to refuse participation.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a maximum of 14 people on the day. One-on-one instruction will be provided at all times.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome at a cost of $15 per person - payable directly to the supplier. This will entitle them to dinner and refreshments. Please advise the supplier at the time of booking if you would like to bring spectators on the day.

Weather:

Skid pan driver training is generally not affected by adverse weather conditions however in the case of extreme weather we reserve the right to cancel and reschedule your driver training for another suitable date. In the event of a cancellation you'll be contacted directly by the supplier.

Other Info:

You’ll be required to complete an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience. Training sessions are open to any reasonably skilled and confident driver. A sausage sizzle and soft drinks are provided”.
