Don the leather flying helmet and goggles and get ready for a flight of pure nostalgia, from an era of romance and excitement. Let the wind blow through your hair as you experience the thrill of an aerobatic flight in a tiger moth, a superb 1940s vintage open cockpit bi-plane.
Upon arrival at the hangar, you will meet your pilot and ground staff for the day and be shown around the vintage, open cockpit Tiger Moth aircraft (with plenty of time for photos) where safety aspects will be explained. Then you will be helped to strap yourself into your seat. For the duration of the flight you'll be sitting in the front seat and your pilot will be seated behind you. When all is ready and the propeller has been swung to start the engine, you will be up and away on your aerobatic flight.
You have communication with your pilot for the duration of the flight and he will make the journey as enjoyable as possible for you, explaining the Manoeuvres and being as adventurous with loop the loops and rolls as you wish. Alternatively you can choose to just sit and watch the world fly past while your pilot points out the areas of interest.
On return to the Hangar you will be assisted from the aircraft by the ground crew where there is an opportunity for some more photos to compliment your amazing memories of your tiger moth aerobatic flight.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Camden Airport – approximately 60-90 minutes from Sydney CBD - NSW (depending on traffic).
Session Length
Allow approximately 60 minutes for the total experience, including 15 minutes preparation time, approximately 30 minutes flight time and then 10-15 minutes at the end of flight for photos etc. Flights are available from 7am - 5pm, everyday (excludes Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day).
Guidelines:
There is a minimum age 15 years and a maximum weight 115 kg. A camera is ok but please bring a strap to attach it to your wrist. We ask customers to sign a flight form that gives us their name address and phone number. The passenger is fully insured for the duration of the flight.
Numbers:
You will be one-on-one with your pilot.
Spectators:
All spectators are very welcome and will be escorted to an area on the tarmac where they can watch you take-off and land.
Weather:
Clear, calm conditions are needed. We cancel in strong wind and adverse conditions. If in doubt please ring before leaving home. If cancelled we will re-schedule at a time to suit the customer. Minimum of 24 hours is required to reschedule otherwise a 25% cancellation fee may be charged.
Other Info:
Flights take place between 7am and 5pm, available 7 days a week, subject to weather conditions. This experience is not available Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day. The best time of the day is very early morning – due to calm air.

Leo (the pilot) and Clair in the office were very accommodating and although we had a small mixup with the aircraft, they handled the situation with great professionalism. A good organisation that ensures you are getting value for your money. Leo took the time to ensure I could ask whatever I wanted and is clearly someone who enjoys his trade. Thank you, I will be back!

The day was totally enjoyable while I enjoyed the flight, the family was also having a fun day on the ground. The pilot also enjoys his job and this is imparted too all concerned. In the tiger moth you have a real experience of raw flight. The aerobatic flight was a buzz and it was decided that my brothers and brother inlaw will be sent up with there birthdays in future time.

What an experience! everyone we met out at the airport could not have been friendlier, I did not see one customer without a huge grin. Even my 10 year old is planning a tiger moth aerobatic flight. Great work

Loved the whole experience. The Pilot Jarod was great. The trip was a gift but I thought it was well worth the money! Only wished I could have got a video of the experience.

This was an experience like no other I have ever had.Being in an open cockpit in a vintage plane doing Barrel Rolls, Loops and Hammer Heads was just awesome and the view from 4000 feet was incredible. You just have to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the most fun I have had, the pilot was great,he explained everything that was happening and made me feel at ease at all times. Definitely something I would recommend to anyone as a must do.

A great experience thanks to a laid back and entertaining pilot by the name of Jamie. Jamie made the flight all the more enjoyable through the way he went about all aspects of the plane itself, the flight and the way in which he prepared myself for the manoeuvres. Good work Jamie!
