Hands on Trial Flight With Aerobatics - 45 Minutes
Live your dream and feel the exhilaration as you take the controls and experience flight from the pilot seat. On this very special flight, your pilot can take the controls and show you some aerobatics!
In a Cessna 152, with an expert Instructor beside you, you will taxi out to the runway, pilot the aircraft during take off and actually fly - WOW! You can even ask for some hair raising aerobatics!
This is not just a joy flight - this is considered your very first lesson! Your Airline Pilot in a 747 started the same way!
It all begins with your pre-flight briefing. Your Instructor will explain the aircraft controls, and outline the fundamentals of piloting a light aircraft. You will taxi the aircraft out onto the runway, pilot it during take off and fly! Weather permitting, your instructor may take over the controls and show the world from up side down! Loops, barrel rolls and stall turns will give you the chance to see the sights from a new perspective.
Your Trial Introductory Flight is your very first entry into your Pilot Log Book if you choose to continue to fly – so it could well be the start of a life long love – or even a career. This is an experience not to be missed.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Jandakot Airport is 15km south of Perth City, Western Australia.
Session Length
Allow 1hour, includes a 15 min pre-flight briefing. Actual experience time is 45 minutes (engine start to engine stop). Please arrive at least 15 min prior to your booking time. We are open 7 days per week from 8:00am to 5:00pm. (closed Christmas and Boxing Day, Good Friday and New Years).
Guidelines:
There is a minimum age of 13 years for all participants and a maximum weight of 115kg.
Numbers:
You will fly one on one with your instructor.
Spectators:
Friends and family are welcome – An observation deck and viewing café / restaurant area allow friends and family to relax while you fly.
Weather:
Weather restrictions apply. We will not fly in the event of rain, low cloud or strong winds. It is advised that you call the day of the flight to check conditions. On the day, should the flight not be possible, we will reschedule your booking for a later date.
Other Info:
Participant name and address is required by law. This flight record will be the first entry to go towards a full pilot’s licence if you wish to pursue a pilot training program. Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or with no notice at all, will be forfeited

Great experience Pilot Jake Travers was an excellent teacher and went to a lot of trouble in making the flight enjoyable. Enjoyed it very much. Took of and then did a lot of hands on flying. Jake showed me the sights of Rottnest Island as we flew around it.

The flight experience was fantastic, my instructor Trent Donovan was very friendly, knowledgeable and most definitely loves what he does. Despite a reasonably long waiting period before take off as there was a fire in the vicinity of Jandakot and the bombers were given priority, it was well worth the wait. Unfortunately due to the fire being in the acrobatic area we could not experience the trill of voltige but we flew for a good 45 minutes from Perth to Freo, then off to trigg and back around...The flight experience was fantastic, my instructor Trent Donovan was very friendly, knowledgeable and most definitely loves what he does. Despite a reasonably long waiting period before take off as there was a fire in the vicinity of Jandakot and the bombers were given priority, it was well worth the wait. Trent was my pilot. He has 4 yrs experience with the Aero Club and was very professional in both his interpersonal skills and flying skills. Although we had fairly strong winds to contend with the aeroplane handled it well. The winds added that extra bit of spice to the flight. It was good to get behind the controls and do most of the flying. All in all it was a very enjoyable time. I would truley recommend this as a gift to anyone young or old.

I found it extremely enjoyable and very free as I pretty much controlled the whole thing from take-off to landing besides doing the aerobatics but other then that I was in complete control. It really helped me decide into getting my CPL and I now know what my next goal is after my motorbike licence and that's to get my Pilot's license so I could possibly take others on such great experiences myself.

My instructor, Mike, was the perfect host as an instructor. He let me know what was happening at every stage, explaining what we were about to do. Then, I was able to take the controls and had an aerial experience I will never forget.

I would definitely recommend the experience regardless of whether you have an interest in flying or not. It's not everyday you have the change to pilot a plane from take off, fly out to Rottnest, zip over to Fremantle, to almost coming in to land. Definately a buzz.

I got this voucher for my mums 50th birthday which I booked for her as a suprise, and she absolutley loved it! She got to take off all on her own, see some great sights and have some fun aswell. Wow, what a blast! Much better than I expected and a lot more hands on. This was actually flying the plane by myself including take-off and landing. Also loved the aerobatics. I would do this all the time if I had the chance.

Fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone that has an interest in flying or is a thrill seeker. The pilot was brilliant and made sure I was in my comfort zone at all times. Its making me seriously consider getting my private pilot license.

The aerobatic trial flight was a terrific buzz, great value for money. The flight included loops, stall turns, barrel rolls and spins. All was made all the more enjoyable by the Royal Aero Club's instructor Mike Thomas. A highly recommended thrill ride.
