Do you ever wonder what it would be like to fly? This light aircraft trial instructional flight could be your first step towards flight training. You’ll help the pilot take off from the airport and learn to fly the plane over Sydney’s western region. This training flight is your ticket to fly!

When you arrive at the airport you will meet your instructor who will take you and any spectators you have brought with you out to your aircraft. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos as your instructor gives you a detailed briefing, including preflight inspection and an explanation of aircraft controls and safety.

Now for the excitement! You’ll climb into the aircraft, the engine is started and your instructor will guide you in taking the aircraft out to the runway. After rolling onto the runway you will assist the pilot with take-off and once you are airborne, the pilot will hand the control over to you! This is your unique opportunity to experience flying an aircraft!

You will be flying under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor, over picturesque Western Sydney with views of the Blue Mountains, Burragorang Valley, Warragamba Dam and the historic Macarthur region along the way.

Upon return to the airport you’ll assist with the approach and landing (subject to other traffic and conditions) and taxi back to the hangar to meet your family and friends. There will be plenty of time for questions and more photos after your flight.

Camden, NSW – approximately 70km south-west of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

This experience is available for bookings seven days a week from 7am – 5pm, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday. Mornings are the best time to fly. The duration of your flight will be 30 minutes however you should allow 60 minutes for the whole experience.

Guidelines:

You will need to provide your name, address, phone number and approximate weight prior to your flight. Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You may bring a camera provided it has some form of wrist strap.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be one-on-one with your pilot during your flight.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date.
