Come gliding and enjoy the spectacular 45 minute flight around the Caboolture region!

On the day of your gliding experience, you’ll be met by your experienced glider pilot and you’ll be introduced to the glider. Climb aboard one of our latest model Super Dimona motor gliders. These gliders are the most reliable and comfortable motor gliders available and feature excellent visibility through a one piece canopy with no door or windscreen pillars to block your view.

As you depart Caboolture Airfield, you’ll experience spectacular scenery as you climb to 4500ft and experience views out to the Glasshouse Mountains, the Blackall Range and Bribie Island.

During the flight you’ll be sitting next to your pilot in the front seat of the glider and will have plenty of opportunities to take photographs and talk on the flight radio. You can even have a go at the controls under the watchful instruction of your experience glider pilot and fly the glider yourself. You’ll discover just how easy it is to fly! Your pilot is a qualified motor glider instructor and will be more than happy to explain how this state of the art glider flies and the techniques used by glider pilots to fly long distances using just the natural thermal energy in the atmosphere.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Caboolture, Queensland - approximately 45 minutes north of Brisbane CBD.

Session Length

We operate 7 days a week (excludes some public holidays) from 8am – 4pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes – due to the nature of gliding exact flight times cannot be guaranteed.

Guidelines:

The maximum weight limit is 110kg. Don’t forget to bring your camera as there are plenty of spectacular photo opportunities!

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be with your pilot on the day. We can cater for groups as large as 10 people, flying them one after the other. If you wish to experience the flight with a friend, then a formation flight is possible (N.B. You would need to purchase two vouchers for this).

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the event of poor conditions, we will try to contact you the day before your booking to discuss the conditions for the following day. In the event that conditions are not favourable, we will cancel and reschedule your experience for a later date.

You will be required to complete a waiver prior to participating in the experience.

    The Pilot Kim was such a nice guy and full of information during the flight. He made the experience so much more fun because of his friendly and welcoming nature. It was a great day and I enjoyed it very much.

    Everything went well. The weather was not good on previous appointments but the supplier was only too happy to change the date so that the flight was at its best. I had a great time.

    I had a fantastic experience gliding. The pilot was friendly and made me feel relaxed. I really enjoyed being able to steer the glider. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

    I had a great time. Gliding is something I've always wanted to do and it was just as expected. Mike the pilot was very experienced, explained everything very well and made sure I had a good time. The glider was near new and gave me confidence right from the start that this is a high quality experience. Mike even let me control the glider for a few minutes which was fantastic. Thanks again.
