For those that want the ultimate gliding experience this is the flight for you. You'll introduced to the basics of flight by your instructor and be allowed to take the controls at certain stages of the flight all while taking in the amazing views of the Blue Mountains and the Sydney Skyline.

Air experience flights are for those who are interested in learning to fly or who would just like to have a go at the controls during the flight. The experience starts with a pre flight safety and operational briefing. You’ll learn about the primary controls of the glider and how they are used to control the glider in-flight as well as observe the pre flight with your instructor.

Once in the air you will be given the opportunity to take control of the aircraft, under the expert supervision of your professional instructor you'll actually fly the glider yourself.

Depending on the weather you should spend around 45 minutes in the air.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Camden Airport, NSW – approximately 50km south-west of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

This experience is available on weekends. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability and weather conditions. The duration of your flight will be approximately 45 minutes. Depending on weather conditions, the time and duration of your flight may change.

Guidelines:

You must be over 12 years of age to participate in this experience. If you are under 18 years of age you must have a parent or guardian sign for you on the day. There is also a maximum weight limit of 100kg per person. No prior gliding experience is necessary.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be one-on-one with your instructor during your flight.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome and will be able to watch the take off, landing and part of the flight from our mobile operations centre. There is seating at the operations centre and toilets and refreshments are available nearby.

Weather:

Gliding is affected by the weather and your flight may be rescheduled or curtailed if the conditions are unsuitable. It is therefore difficult to schedule an exact time for your flight and it is essential that you call between 9am and 9.30am on the day of your experience to confirm flight details.

Other Info:

All our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards and we pride ourselves on 35 years of safe flying. Our pilots are fully qualified instructors or charter pilots. You will need to sign a waiver on the day, prior to flying. Remember to bring your camera!
