Go Tandem Hangliding south of Sydney for the ultimate free-soaring experience! Hang-gliding is an exciting and peaceful way to take in panoramic views of the earth below. Your experienced hang-glider pilot will take you gliding over the stunning coastal scenery just 60 minutes south of Sydney.

Your tandem hang-gliding experience begins when you meet with your pilot at our historic flying site. This is a world-renowned area for hang-gliding.

You will be given a 15-minute briefing and then take another 15 minutes to get set for the flight.

Then it’s time for launch! During launch you will be side-by-side with your pilot. You will take off from approximately 700ft and glide to heights between 1000ft and 2000ft, depending on the weather. What a way to see the world!

The coastal mountain range of the Royal National Park offers world-class flying and the scenic views from a cockpit-free aircraft are unmatched! During your 25-minute flight you will look down upon the sparkling coastline and stunning natural environment. You will have the opportunity to spot marine-life while quietly cruising in the sky above.

Hang-gliding makes for a peaceful aerial journey. However towards the end of your flight your pilot will give you the opportunity to up the excitement with some exciting turns and acceleration of speed! You will even be given the opportunity to take the controls during the flight and have a go at flying the hand-glider yourself!

Landing is possibly the most exhilarating part of a hang-gliding journey. At the conclusion of your flight you will make a safe landing on the beach. Then you will spend approximately 30 minutes packing up, relaxing and having a chat with your pilot. Come and experience true freedom with a hang-gliding flight over the stunning coast of NSW!

Venue:

This experience takes place half way between Sydney and Wollongong, NSW – approximately 60 minutes south of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

This experience is available on weekends, weather permitting, and is subject to availability. We also have the same experience available for a weekday at a decreased cost. The duration of your flight will be approximately 25 minutes. Please allow at least 90 minute for the entire experience.

Guidelines:

This experience is open to people of all ages. There is a maximum weight limit of 100kg.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We can take group bookings for up to 10 people. You will be one-on-one with your pilot during your tandem flight. Group bookings are required to pick two alternate dates if the weather is not suitable. There is no charge for rescheduling due to weather.

Weather:

This experience is weather dependent. In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date. You should call at 8am on the morning of your flight to confirm your booking.

Other Info:

You will be required to sign a waiver on the day, prior to participating in this experience. Your tandem pilot, Curt Warren, and aerial guide is a professional hang-gliding champion. High-quality photos and DVDs are available for purchase, payable on the day.
