Hot Air Balloon Rides over Melbourne are a breathtaking way to see the town! Depending on the wind at dawn, your ballooning adventure may take you over the CBD, inner suburbs, parks and gardens, with Port Phillip Bay creating the perfect backdrop as you discover this gorgeous city from the air!
Your hot air ballooning flight over Melbourne starts when we either meet at your hotel or at the meeting location before first light. You will be advised of the exact time and place the evening before your flight.
Your pilot will give you a short briefing and you will be transported to the launch site, where you may help with the launch or stand back and take pictures.
Then away we go, drifting gently over the city of Melbourne in our beautiful balloon. Your flight will last for approximately one hour.
Afterwards, we make our final landing, pack the balloon away and invite you to join us for a traditional champagne breakfast (additional cost of $25pp) at the Hilton hotel.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length
Allow approximately four hours in total, from check-in to the champagne breakfast celebration. The flight itself is one hour.
Guidelines:
Minimum fitness level required. Passengers need to be able to climb into the basket and stand for the hour's flight. You need to inform us if you have a medical condition that may preclude you from flying e.g. a back problem. We do not fly ladies who are more than 12 weeks pregnant.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. There will be a minimum of four and a maximum of ten people in the basket during your flight.
Weather:
In the case of windy, wet miserable weather the flight is cancelled at the pilot's discretion. Flights are usually confirmed the night before.
Other Info:
Bring a hat and your camera as there are some fantastic photo opportunities. The champagne breakfast is not included in the price.
Suitability Information:
This experience is suitable for people with a sensory impairment only. You must be independently mobile in case of emergency.
Cancellation Policy:
You will lose the full cost of your flight if you fail to show up for your flight. You may send someone else in your place if you wish - please let us know the name of the replacement person before the flight. * Within 48 hours prior: No changes are permitted - passengers are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforseen circumstances including being unwell to fly due to illness. Under no circumstances will flights be refunded or re-scheduled if passengers cancel or do not show up on the day. * Between 48 hours and 7 days prior: A non-refundable $50 per person rebooking fee will be charged directly payable to the supplier; weekday flights will need to be re-scheduled on a weekday flight only, excluding public holidays. * Bookings cancelled up to 7 days prior to a flight date cannot be refunded. * Accommodation and Wine tour packages are non-refundable and should the flight be cancelled due to inclement weather this does not apply.

The balloon ride was great ,very smooth and being weather dependent it was very well organized. Dave our balloon pilot was fantastic, smooth take off and landing even a little rain did not spoil the ride. I had not been well for a few weeks prior so had not worried about the breakfast and had no money with me but dave offered to sort that out too. I did not take him up on the offer but it was kind of him to do so. Will tell everyone about the experience and Yarra Valley here I come.

It was an amazing experience, we just felt as if we were floating ( suppose we were really). The views over the city of Melbourne were fantastic and me being a footfall fanatic it was absolutely great to see the MCG from above. We took over 100 photos to share with our friends

David did a wonderful job, was very skilled and professional and it was even a softer smoother landing than I expected. The flight was very pleasant and brilliant to see Melbourne from such a view, especially under the very first rays of sunshine. I don't like heights but this was amazing - would definitely do it again!

It was the best I have ever had and I would do it all again you have got great pilots and a great crew even my 8 year old grandson and my granddaughter who is 7 want to go on a ride as they were there at 5am to watch me go up. I have never been so happy I told them when they are old enough I will pay for them and I will go with them so that leaves me with a big thankyou to my children for my 60th birthday presant and thank to everyone who works for RedBalloon- thank you

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it - even the early morning start. The excitment building when you watch all the balloons (envelopes) inflate. The anticipation of being up in the air. It was really a remarkable and unforgettable experience. I would do it again.
