Treat yourself and your partner to a hot air ballooning flight over Melbourne, one night's luxury accommodation in a studio apartment and a three course dinner! This is a wonderful way to show someone you love them and spend two memorable days together. Experience hot air ballooning magic!

You and your partner will be staying at The Grand Hotel in the heart of Melbourne. Your studio apartment will have either city or Docklands views and makes for an elegant inner-city retreat.

Think of lofty ceilings, plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen and even a pillow menu! Your room will also feature a LCD TV and in-house movies, a full bath and shower, and complimentary L'Occitane toiletries.

You will enjoy your evening meal at the hotel's Cafe Grand - a three-course seasonal table d'hote dinner (drinks are not included in the price) - before retiring to your room for the night.

The next morning we will pick you up from the hotel before first light. You'll be advised of the exact time the evening before. Your pilot gives you a short briefing and you'll be transported to the launch site, where you may help with the launch or stand back and take pictures.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself drifting silently through the air. You will hear the sounds of Melbourne awakening beneath you and witness the sun rise over the mountains to the north.

After your flight we return to the Grand Hotel where you will top off your hot air ballooning experience with a French champagne breakfast!

Session Length

This experience is available all year round, excluding Christmas Day. Check-in is after 2pm and check-out is at 12 noon. Please allow approximately 3-4 hours for your hot air ballooning experience. The balloon flight itself is 60 minutes. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability.

Guidelines:

A minimum fitness level is required. Passengers need to be able to climb into the basket and stand for the hour's flight. You need to inform us if you have a medical condition that may preclude you from flying e.g. a back problem. We do not fly ladies who are more than 12 weeks pregnant.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people twin share. There will be a minimum of four and a maximum of ten people in the basket with you during your flight.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of windy, wet miserable weather the ballooning component will be rescheduled to a later date.

Other Info:

Bring a hat and your camera as there will be some fantastic photo opportunities during your hot air balloon flight.

Cancellation Policy:

You will lose the full cost of your flight if you fail to show up for your flight. You may send someone else in your place if you wish - please let us know the name of the replacement person before the flight. * Within 48 hours prior: No changes are permitted - passengers are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforseen circumstances including being unwell to fly due to illness. Under no circumstances will flights be refunded or re-scheduled if passengers cancel or do not show up on the day. * Between 48 hours and 7 days prior: A non-refundable $50 per person rebooking fee will be charged directly payable to the supplier; weekday flights will need to be re-scheduled on a weekday flight only, excluding public holidays. * Bookings cancelled up to 7 days prior to a flight date cannot be refunded. * Accommodation and Wine tour packages are non-refundable and should the flight be cancelled due to inclement weather this does not apply.
