Ever wanted to experience hot air ballooning over the greater Brisbane region and surrounds? Now you can enjoy superb and glorious views whilst floating majestically and effortlessly over the stunning valley's of the Scenic Rim and the heritage city of Ipswich, part of the greater Brisbane region!

The greater Brisbane and Scenic Rim region in South East Queensland is the ultimate place to experience the magic and adventure of hot air ballooning.

After being greeted 20 minutes prior to sunrise, your pilot will brief you and your fellow passengers on the morning’s proceedings. After final weather checks by the pilot, you will then be taken to the chosen launch site, based on the mornings wind speed and direction. You might even be able to assist with the inflation of the hot air balloon.

Once the balloon is inflated, you will lift off for your hot air balloon ride, which will be approximately one hour in duration.

Whilst floating majestically and effortlessly, your hot air balloon ride combines the city and country in one flight. Your flight is tranquil yet exhilarating. As the world slowly awakens, you float peacefully overhead, witnessing the serenity in slow motion from the balloon basket.

Breathtaking views of the city of Ipswich and its classic Queenslanders, heritage buildings and homes, Flinders Peak, Mt Walker, the Great Dividing and McPherson Ranges, Mt Tamborine, Moreton Bay, the skyline of Brisbane, Mount Coot-tha, D'Aguilar Range, Wivenhoe Dam, the Brisbane, Fassifern and Lockyer Valleys and the Brisbane and Bremer Rivers.

Upon landing, you may become involved in assisting the crew in packing up the hot air balloon or taking photographs. Afterwards our crew will return you to Ipswich for a sumptuous sit down restaurant champagne breakfast, including a full hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and hash browns) and a continental breakfast (cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice, milk, tea and coffee). A commemorative flight certificate will be presented to each passenger to conclude the morning’s activity.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Our flight meeting point is in Ipswich - a 35 minute drive west of the Brisbane CBD.

Session Length

Flights run daily at sunrise (weather and numbers permitting). Please allow three to four hours. The actual flight is one hour in duration. Start times vary throughout the year, depending on sunrise. The exact time for your hot air balloon ride will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

Guidelines:

For flight manifest purposes, all passengers’ names and estimated weights (in kilograms) must be advised. Please advise the booking office if you are over 90 kilograms, or have any medical issues. Anyone over 115kg will incur a 50% surcharge. Women are not permitted to fly during pregnancy.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one adult. We operate with a minimum of six and a maximum of ten people. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule your experience for a later date. Child prices are also available, please refer to product code FTG593.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome. If they wish to join the after flight restaurant breakfast, this will incur an additional fee of $20 per person. They are also welcome to watch the inflation and deflation of the balloon and can 'chase' the balloon in their own vehicles.

Weather:

This experience is completely weather dependent. In the event of poor weather, we may be required to reschedule your experience for a later date. Please telephone the booking office, the night prior to the flight to confirm flight time and weather conditions.

Other Info:

All passengers must complete and sign a standard company Registration, Medical Check and Assumption of Risk form before the flight. You will be briefed and given safety instructions on the day. This includes take off and landing positions.

Suitability Information:

Suitable for people with a sensory impairment only. You must be independently mobile in case of emergency.

From the booking, being able to help with the inflation of the balloon & the flight itself. Graeme the pilot was just full of information about the area we were floating over, was just a fantastic experience. 10/10 guy's.

We had a fantastic morning. I guess it helped to have a perfect flying day. Graeme, the pilot, has very informative & was more than willing to help in any way he could. I didn't want the flight to end. Spectacular experience.

Being afraid of heights I was totally surprised at how stable the basket and therefore the flight was. You didn't even realise you were moving most of the time which enabled me to enjoy the sights without worrying (too much)about how high up we were. Of course it was reassuring having an experienced pilot ready to answer all types of questions I needed to ask.
