Departing Illawarra Regional Airport in a Stearman Biplane, we well head north on a 45 minute flight along the coast to the Sea Cliff Bridge, taking in views of the spectacular beaches and magnificent escarpment.

Main Description

The famous Sea Cliff Bridge heralds the Northern approaches to the rugged Illawarra coastline. An engineering marvel that spans 665 meters, the bridge was opened in December 2005 linking the coastal villages of Stanwell Park and Coalcliff.

This area was also the home of Australia’s very own ‘father of flight’, Lawrence Hargrave, and forms the southern boundary of the Royal National Park – one of the world’s oldest national parks, second only to Yellowstone in the US.

Upon returning to base you’ll have a smile on your face as wide as the Pacific Ocean view and with no doubt that it’s the coast with the most! A fantastic flight not to be missed..

Venue:

Illawarra Regional Airport. 90 minutes drive south of Sydney Airport.

Session Length

Allow 1hour for the whole experience, this includes 45 minutes in the air.

Guidelines:

Min age is 13. Max height is 200cm and max weight is 120KG. Passengers need to be reasonably mobile, please declare any health issues. We cannot carry persons affected by drugs or alcohol. Note: the pilot in command must refuse any passenger who may adversely impact the safe conduct of the flight.

Numbers:

You will be one on one with the instructor.

Spectators:

Family and friends can watch the flight preparations and take photos of the aircraft on the ground before and after the flight. Take off and landing can be viewed from the terminal café/restaurant, or from various points outside of the fenced areas.

Weather:

In the event of poor weather conditions the flight will be rescheduled.
