Experience 30 minutes of breathtaking Hunter Valley scenery! Jump into a Pitts Special open-cockpit biplane and let your pilot take you on a scenic flight through the lower Hunter Valley. Look out upon picturesque vineyards and sparkling coastline in the distance!

If you’re not interested in stomach-churning aerobatics, then a leisurely scenic flight over the Hunter Valley is the perfect flight for a non ‘thrill-seeker’!

Upon arrival, you’ll be given a safety briefing by your pilot and a general walk around of the aircraft. You will then be strapped into the front seat of the Pitts Special open-cockpit biplane. Your pilot will be seated behind you. You will receive a familiarisation briefing before the start of your scenic flight over the stunning Hunter Valley.

Your flight will last approximately 30 minutes, as you take in the scenery of the lower Hunter Valley and a pass over the vineyard regions, before experiencing the other scenic vistas of the area and the panoramic view looking out towards the beautiful coastline. A truly unique way to get a bird's eye view of the Hunter Valley!

After your Pitts Special scenic flight, your pilot will return you safely to the airfield where there will be plenty of time for a few photographs.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Maitland, NSW – approximately 2 hours north of Sydney.

Session Length

Actual flight time is 30 minutes, but please allow approximately 1 hour for the entire experience. We operate 7 days a week (closed Christmas Day). The weekends are very busy and we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible. All bookings are subject to availability.

Guidelines:

You must be 13 years or older and have good general health. You must not weigh more than 110kg. You will need to be mobile enough to climb in and out of the cockpit. Please advise us if you suffer from heart disease, hypertension or diabetes as we may be able to tailor the flight to suit your needs.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be with your pilot on the day. We can cater for groups as large as 25 people, using 2 aircraft – please contact us for further information (at least 7 days advance notice is required).

Spectators:

Friends are welcome to come along and watch the take off and landing of the aircraft. We actively encourage them to attend. They will be able to watch your briefing as well as your flight. Make sure they bring their cameras to photograph your experience.

Weather:

If the weather is unsuitable for flying, we will contact you as early as possible in the morning of your flight (if the decision has not been made the day prior) or alternatively you can contact us if you have any doubts. Cancelled flights will be rescheduled for a later date.
