Sydney's Stearman Scenic Flight will send you to heaven! Strapped into this safe but amazing vintage aircraft, listen and feel the steady drone as you look over the gorgeous Sydney horizon. The Boeing Stearman bi-plane was originally used for military training - now it's here for your leisure!

After being greeted by your pilot, take a few happy snaps in your retro leather flying cap and goggles! You'll be given a safety briefing and given the chance to look over the plane. Take a few minutes to appreciate the amazing journey you're about to undertake!

Click clack - it's time to fly! Your ground crewman will give that propeller a massive swing and then you're on. From your position, in the front seat of the craft ahead of the pilot, you'll take off for the scenic flight that really gets you out in the air.

You have communication with your pilot for the duration of the flight, which is great if you have any questions, requests or nerves. Enjoy the flight while your pilot points out items of interest.

This flight rounds off with low-level coasting over the Nepean River, as low as 500ft. This 45-minute scenic flight will spoil flying for you forever!

Session Length

Allow 80 minutes for this experience, including safety brief. Flights take place between 7am and 5pm, available 7 days a week, subject to weather conditions. This experience is not available Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day. The best time of the day is very early morning – due to calm air.

Guidelines:

There is a minimum age of 15 years. A camera is OK but please bring a strap to attach it to your wrist.

Numbers:

You will be one to one with your pilot.

Spectators:

Spectators are most welcome and will be escorted by ground staff whilst inspecting the aircraft and watching the flight depart the hangar area.

Weather:

Flights are subject to weather conditions and can be cancelled at any time due to adverse conditions. The pilot in command has final say in making flight decisions.
