Tiger Moth Scenic Flight - Opt For Aerobatics
Nothing compares with the thrill of flying in an open cockpit Tiger Moth. This is a 45 minute flight, taking in the beautiful sights of Perth with the chance to see it all from upside down!! Strap in, don the leather helmet and goggles and take to the air in a true lady of the sky.
On arrival your pilot will give you a brief history of this fabulous vintage machine. Following this you will have a safety briefing then be strapped into the cockpit complete with leather helmet and goggles! You will be sitting in the front seat of the aircraft and your pilot will be sitting behind you. At this point it is time to relax as you are ready for take off!
There are two options for this experience, a city and beaches scenic flight or a run up Perth’s gorgeous beaches followed by some thrilling aerobatics! Either way, there is no better way to see the sights of Perth than at 1500 feet with the wind in your hair!
Arriving back at Jandakot you will be presented with your certificate of membership to the exclusive Tiger Club as one of the few people who have flown in this amazing old lady of the sky.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Jandakot Airport is 15km south of Perth City, Western Australia.
Session Length
Allow1 hour, includes a 15 min pre-flight briefing. Actual flight time is 45 minutes (engine start to engine stop). Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking time. We are open 7 days per week from 8:00am to 5:00pm. (closed Christmas and Boxing Day, Good Friday and New Years).
Guidelines:
There is a minimum age of 13 years for all participants and a maximum weight of 100kg. A camera is ok but please bring a strap to attach it to your wrist.
Numbers:
You will be one on one with your instructor.
Spectators:
Friends and family are welcome – An observation deck and viewing café / restaurant area allow friends and family to relax while you fly.
Weather:
Weather restrictions apply. We will not fly in the event of rain, low cloud or strong winds. It is advised that you call the day of the flight to check conditions. On the day, should the flight not be possible, we will reschedule your booking for a later date.

Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or with no notice at all, will be forfeited
Suitability Information:
There is wheel chair access to both the club and the café upstairs for spectators. This experience may be suitable for people with a sensory impairment. Please contact the club for details.

Great experience,pilot Dave very personable and informative. Still can't work out how he knew which way was up! Only negative was the goggles which would not stay on my head. Which may say something about it. Awaiting video which I'm afraid may show mucus flowing from my nose when inverted at the top of the loop!!

The flight was a fantastic experience although I would have loved more aerobatics. I would recommend it to anyone to "have a go".

Very professional and efficient reception at the flying club. Friendly and courteous pilot (youngster) and a very enjoyable scenic fight... and then the acrobatics!!! That little Tiger Moth sure can maneouver some tight turns. Barrel rolls, Giant loop, death spiral. Just try to keep a horizon in view!!! Then a nice sedate cruise back to Jandacot and a chance to swallow the heart back out of your throat.

This was one of THE BEST things I've ever experienced! I cannot recommend highly enough the team at the Aero Club, especially Andrew my pilot, who made this such a special experience. Flying over Perth in an aircraft slightly older than myself was a once in a lifetime dream become reality. THANKS!!!

Received a "wow" factor. Like a boy in a candy shop, not knowing where to look next. Pilot Steve was personable, knowledgeable and ensure a fantastic experience. (Cockpit intercom could be improved)

It was a perfect flying day and a terrific experience. Don, the pilot, did a great job in providing for a very reassuring and relaxed environment. Loved the aerobatics and would highly recommend the experience.

Absolutely great experience and I was very impressed at how easily it flowed through fom the front desk to the flight everyone was helpful and pleasant! My pilot was excellent and went the "the extra mile" to make me comfortable. I thoroughly recommend it!

Perth AeroClub staff and pilot (thank God!) very professional and looked after me despite my nervous disposition. Good flight experience and would recommend to everyone and in particular my worst enemy. In that case to ensure the seat-belt harness was not secure for those flight runs that were upside down with plummeting loop spirals and fed a hearty meal before. The aerobatics not for the faint of heart or anyone who is a coward like me! Not forgetting the RedBallon staff who very polite a...Perth AeroClub staff and pilot (thank God!) very professional and looked after me despite my nervous disposition. Good flight experience and would recommend to everyone and in particular my worst enemy. In that case to ensure the seat-belt harness was not secure for those flight runs that were upside down with plummeting loop spirals and fed a hearty meal before. The aerobatics not for the faint of heart or anyone who is a coward like me! Not forgetting the RedBallon staff who very polite and accommodating in making changes to my booking, the entire process made easy without problems. As it was a "things you must do before" gift, It was great, the staff were very good, Mark, the pilot was very professional and the flight was awesome.

I bought this flight as a gift for my dad, for his 70th birthday. He absolutely loved it. The only downfall would be that they had no goggles for him to wear on the plane, as it's an open cockpit plane he didn't get to experience it as much as he would have liked, due to his eye's watering. We thought that if we were preprepared we could have bought some for him. I would recommend that, so this doesn't happen to someone else, to actually ring them so they can organise something.

Brought back memories from the 1950's/1960's which I have held dear all those years as a then Student and Private Pilot in Darwin Aero Club mainly on DH82 Tiger Moth aircraft. Well done Andrew and thanks again for the 'local" over Perth experience.
