Experience Australia’s magnificent Red Centre as you head to Alice Springs and trek through Central Australia along the Larapinta Trail. During this three-day guided walk you will trek our favourite sections of the Larapinta Trail and view some spectacular scenery. This is a truly unique experience!
Winding along the high exposed ridgel ines and deep, sheltered gorges, the Larapinta Trail traverses one of the world’s most evocative and ancient landscapes. This three-day trek offers a great introduction to trekking in Australia’s Red Centre, with a selection of day walks on our favourite sections of the Larapinta Trail. We have support vehicles to transfer your luggage and camping gear from campsite to campsite so you need only carry a small daypack while walking. Crossing Central Australia's wild, untamed landscape will be an experience you'll never forget.
The itinerary for the Larapinta guided trek will be as follows:
- Day 1 – Meet at Alice Springs, walk from Telegraph Station to Wallaby Gap (14km)
- Day 2 – Walk from Jay Creek to Standley Chasm (14km)
- Day 3 – Walk Serpentine Gorge to Serpentine Chalet (16km) and return to Alice Springs
The three day trip through Central Australia includes two nights camping, two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners, professional wilderness guide and support staff.
You will also be provided with group camping equipment including tents, swags for sleeping (excluding sleeping bags), stoves and eating utensils. You get off-road transport from Alice Springs, vehicle supported camping throughout, all National Park and camping fees, comprehensive group first aid kit and emergency contact equipment.

Session Length
This experience is three days in duration and departs every Saturday from April to September. It is graded as a introductory walk.
Guidelines:
You'll be required to complete a medical form before departure, qualifying you are in good health to participate. If you're over 70 years of age, participating on a challenging grade adventure, or have a pre-existing medical condition, you are required to have your doctor complete the medical form.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of four and a maximum of eight people per group.

Trips are operational unless we encounter extreme adverse weather condition en route, in which case we will vary the itinerary.
