Are you passionate about chocolate? Want to learn everything about chocolate? Then our Chocolate Connoisseur Appreciation course is the answer. We will cover everything from the history of chocolate and how it is made through to origins and blends, specialty chocolates and chocolate desserts.

Your chocolate connoisseur appreciation evening starts off with a tasting of our special Belgian hot chocolate.

During the evening you will learn:

  • How chocolate came to be discovered,
  • How chocolate has influenced the history of the world,
  • How chocolate came to be one of the top three traded commodities in the world,
  • How to test for great chocolate by its smell, sight, touch, sound and taste
  • How to store chocolate,
  • How to match different drinks such as coffee, with chocolate,
  • How to taste different origins of chocolate for the true connoisseur experience,
  • How chocolate is presented by specialty chocolatiers; truffles, pralines, butter creams etc and;
  • How chocolate is best used in creating gourmet desserts.

Throughout the evening you will taste single origin chocolates, blended chocolates and specialty chocolates made by our European trained chocolatier.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

The course is 2.5 hours in duration and takes place on selected dates throughout the year, starting at 6.30pm. Please book in advance to secure your place in the course.

    I am now a chocolate snob - YEP !!!!! Had a great night. Matt (+ David) really know their chocolate...... however was rather dissappointed that there was no chocolate fondue / or fountain to bathe in hahahhahaha - just kidding.......

    Yes, this course is exactly as its title states - Chocolate 'APPRECIATION'. The tutor (who reassuringly didn't weigh 160 kilos!) certainly knew his stuff about chocolate and the whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable (and delicious). Truly recommend it.

    The course was great. We tried lots of different chocolates and it was a great mix. highly recommend this for others. It is a great night for couples and well worth the money.

    The experience exceeded my expectations with a speaker with lots of knowledge. The presentation was accompanied with lots of yummy chocolates and a hot chocolate. I learnt a lot and it was very interesting. Highly recommended!
