Artisan baking is just that - a fine art! This Sydney class is about using slow processes and the best ingredients - it's the recipe for baking perfection. Learn everything from Starter cultures and why we 'proof', to perfect food pairings for your breads - culinary wisdom you'll use all your life.

Artisan bakers are in it for the love of the game! These 'bread-heads' want to share their fascination with you.

Hear about the bread-making process, about live cultures, fermentation, hazards and troubleshooting... this isn't stuff you can read in a book!

Taking what you've just learned, you're ready to get into mixing, kneading and 'hand-moulding'. Your masterpieces go into the oven then it's time for the grand tour of the bakery!

Tasting sessions follow, where you discuss and test the matching of breads with cheeses and cured meats. And what's a tasting session without wine? Included, of course...

After all that you'll be bursting with knowledge, and you're welcome to take home your baked goodies. Tell anyone who'll listen about the amazing art you've learned!

As this is a 3 hour glass and you are on your feet the whole time and kneeding dough it would be great if they offered iced water or something to drink. The class was great that you made your own dough but then also made some other creations with pre-made dough. the wine tasting and cheese at the end is a great idea

I found the evening very informative with possibly a little too much information to retain, however, the presenters were very professional & passionate about their trade & I'm sure I'll use some of the good points made in my ongoing experiences of enjoying bread & suitable accompany ingredients.

The class was an excellent experience. I wouldn't have bought it for myself (it was given to me as a gift) but I ended up having a great time and thought it was a well organised class. The supplies provided were very generous and I walked away with an awesome collection of fresh bread!

A very fun and useful skill to develop - make your own wonderful bread and get rid of any anger issues during the kneading process! The class was small enough to feel really exclusive. Terrific.
