Come and learn how to cook with passion, joining food-writer and internationally acclaimed prize-winning cook book author Diane Holuigue. You choose the particular culinary skill you wish to perfect or the cuisine you want to master in this unique 6 hour cooking class.
The hands-on format starts the minute you call. Each participant is asked to give input into what the menu might include - not just the dishes, but the techniques you’d like to master to be a comfortable, confident cook in your own home.
Be it making Italian risotto, roasting the best crisp-skinned duck, feeling at home with French soufflé-making and complex sauces, insight into the new 'fusion' of cutting edge Australian cuisine or Moroccan dish, delicate fish dishes, puff pastry or a classy, made-in-advance dessert, Di will find a like-minded group for you.
Your class starts at 9.30am and it’s all hands on deck to cook a sumptuous, four-course sit-down lunch with wine. When we wrap up at 3.30pm, the students will have had a full 6 hours to learn as much as possible from Di’s skills, talents and years of experience.
Initially trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris, and L’Ecole Le Nôtre, Paris (pâtisserie and charcuterie), Diane continually augments this outstanding grounding with classes around the world, and in the kitchens of famous chefs, including those of Michel Guérard, Freddy Girardet, Roger Vergé, Alain Senderens, La Tour d’ Argent, Alice Waters and Wolfgang Puck.
Di was named a Living Legend of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and has authored 12 cookbooks, winning the inaugural "Best Contribution in Food print" for the Australian Food Media Awards.
Di has been food editor of several national magazines, among them Home Beautiful, Epicurean, The Australian Magazine, Ita and the Sunday Herald Magazine and for 2 years was resident chef on the national TV programme Good Morning Australia, and for 10 years, chief judge for the Restaurant and Caterer's Victorian Restaurant Awards.

Session Length
6 hours. Classes are all day time, and there is a choice of Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Dates and menus have to be discussed with Di to find a group (maximum 8-9 people) interested in the same style of cuisine.
Guidelines:
To book, the participant must redeem their voucher and then call to find a menu and a time that suits. No experience necessary, just a healthy appetite to learn. This supplier does not refund. If you have to change the date of your experience you must inform the supplier at least 1 week prior.
Numbers:
Maximum participants per group is 8-9. For company team building experiences the maximum is 16. For corporate groups of 10 people, the 11th person (group organiser) will be able to join the group, free of charge (please enquire at time of booking).

This was an extremely enjoyable experience. Loved the intimacy of being in Di's home and sharing a meal and wine with the other participants. Definitely learned a few tricks and techniques from Di which I will be using in my kitchen. Would recommend this highly.

I was very impressed with the whole process, the day with Di was outstanding and far exceeded my expectations.The knowledge and expertise Di shared was fabulous and all of our questions were meticulously responded to and answered, leaving us enlightened and I experienced many "ah ha!" moments. I came away feeling very confident to recreate and experiment more. I didnt want to go home!

Di was warm and welcoming and an excellent instructor. I felt that I got a lot of practical experience out of the session. Her depth of knowledge was fantastic and I really enjoyed understanding the "why" of what happens to food during the cooking process.

It was fantastic. Di is so friendly. Doing the class at her own home made it even better.I love cooking and do heaps at home so I know alot already, but managed to come home with heaps more knowledge.The best part was to cook all day.eat a beautiful meal and not have to do any dishes

This was personal and the small number of the group made it a very specific. Very hands on, personal tips and extra feedback given readily. Able to ask extra questions and have things clarified. Being able to enjoy the product of our cooking classes was a lovely end to the class.
