Here’s your chance to learn how to cook authentic Thai Food! This Thai cooking class is perfect for anyone wanting to learn the secrets to preparing genuine Thai cuisine. With a focus on hands-on cooking and under the watchful eye of your Master Chef, you’ll be preparing delicious dishes to impress!
On arrival you will be welcomed by Master Chef Chaloem. He will invite you into his kitchen, give you instructions on how to use the equipment, and demonstrate all the wonderful fresh ingredients that you will use to create your delicious Thai dishes.
Throughout the cooking class, you will learn how to source these ingredients for yourself, and discover first hand from Chaloem, some of his best kept secrets passed on to him by his family who lives in Loei, a beautiful mountainous Province in Issan.
Dazzle your friends and family with your ability to produce authentic and delicious dishes from Thailand with this 100% hands-on cooking class.
Following a few simple demonstrations, you will commence preparing your Thai dishes, one at a time under his watchful eye and gentle instructions.
During this class, you will prepare two entrees and three main course dishes.
On completion of his class, you are welcome to either take home your creations or share them as a group with a complementary wine or beverage of your choice.
Thai tea and Iced water will be available during the class.
You will also receive recipes for each of the dishes you prepared during the class and a lovely Certificate signed by Chaloem himself.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Alphington, Victoria – approximately 15 minutes north-east of the Melbourne CBD.
Session Length
Classes are held Friday-Sunday. Morning classes begin at 8:45am and finish around 12:00pm. Afternoon Classes begin at 12:15pm and finish around 3:30pm. We recommend booking as far as possible in advance to secure your preferred date.
Guidelines:
There are no prerequisites for any of our Thai Cooking Classes prior to participating in the class. Bookings are essential and subject to availability.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. Enjoy the luxury of a cooking class with a maximum of only 6 guests, ensuring you of personalised individual attention from Chaloem and his assistant. For a party 3 guests or more, Chaloem will be delighted to accommodate you on any other day.

This experience is not suitable for spectators

This experience takes place indoors and is therefore not affected by the weather.

A big thank you to Master Chef Chaloem! He had so much patience with our group of four & turned us all into MasterChefs. Being my first cooking class I had no idea what to expect and was surprised that what I actually cooked tasted just like the traditional restaurant. The recipes were quick & really quite simple and my family loved what I brought home! Well done Chaloem - we will definitely be returning to experience another cooking class!

I bought this experience for my boyfriend and I, for his birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the class with Chaloem and would definitely recommend to others. Chaloem and his assistant Tibi were very prepared, welcoming and helpful. The dishes we cooked were delicious and easy enough to prepare at home - though I am not sure we will match the taste of Chaloem's! It was fun to learn in the kitchen of an actual restaurant, and a lovely one at that! This is the third Thai cooking class I have done in the last 10 years and it was great to walk away with new tips and ideas on how to make authentic tasting Thai food at home. The chef was a great teacher and the course was hands on - we watched her cook a dish and then got to do it ourselves - the best way to learn. We walked away with a take-away bag laden full of our dishes so we could continue enjoying the delights of the class long after it had finished. ...The cooking class was fantastic. I thought the experience was excellent. The Chef was very patient and calm. Also having a very small class (5 people) was really good. Bringing home all the food that we cooked was really terrific and made me feel proud of myself. Would definitely tell friends about this.
