Your waiter for the evening will explain your Banquet for two. Crafted by Melbourne’s Master Chef Chaloem himself, you will be treated to a selection of his renowned Signature dishes and some of our guests’ favourites.
Whet your appetite with our famous “Miang Karm”.
Choose 2 dishes from a selection of 4 entrées follows that includes “Pla Goong”, a seared prawns dish with a dazzling mix of ginger, lemongrass, coriander, spring onion, chilli, lemon juice and fish sauce and “Moo Gatee”, a great sharing dish of Chaloem’s creamy minced pork cooked in coconut cream with peanuts, pepper, garlic and coriander.
Choose 2 dishes from the selection of 4 Signature Main Courses prepared for you be Master Chef Chaloem. These includes the Bangkok classics “Kaeng Ped Bet Yang”, home-roasted duck, sliced and prepared in a redolent dark rich red coconut curry with fresh sweet pineapple and cherry tomatoes, and “Pad Ped Talay Pon Lah My”, ocean-fresh Blue Eye Fillet pieces, plump prawns, fresh pear and mango wok-tossed in a light red curry-based stir-fry sauce.
Of course, what Dinner for two celebration is complete without a good bottle of wine or two? Included as part of the Banquet are 2 drinks each or $50 off any bottle of wine chosen from our wine list (recently described in the 1 Hat review from The Age Good Food Guide as a “serious… exciting, global list!). Trust your knowledge & instincts and choose your own, or be guided by the Sommelier to make your selection.
Complete your get together with the memorable "Parfait" of Lime and Ginger ice cream, fresh strawberries, poached pear and shredded coconut, layered with coconut white rum cream. Match this with a dessert wine for the both of you.

Indulgent Thai Dinner Banquet - On arrival we were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome, the menu was explained to us in mouth watering and enthusiastic detail. Wines and beer were discussed and recommendations made. The decor and atmosphere were lovely without being over the top. The staff and service were professional, efficient and friendly without being effusive. We are fairly new to Thai food and enjoyed our banquet very much. All in all we had a delightful night.

It was such an enjoyable evening, not only the food & wines but the service, so attentive without being 'cloying'. Our waitress Sarah was magnificent & the Sommelier Stewart, a fund of information who picked the right wine for our palates, no easy feat! Our Thai Experience was exceptional, didn't know what to expect when he headed off on the train out to Alphington (a suburb we had never heard of) however as soon as you walked in the doors you could tell this was one classy establishment. The staff were wonderful and really knew what they were doing, the food was outstanding and the owner was a pure gentleman who made everyone feel very welcome. Would recommend this restaurant to all my friends visiting Melbourne.

It was absolutely a treat even from a cynic like me. Wont go into detail and spoil your treat, trust me and just BOOK IT. If you like Thai, you will have the best experience (ambiance, food and drink) never quite had a meal like it, the location was further out of Melbourne central than I would have liked but you are transported to another place as soon a s you walk in and felt like a king. A very stuffed content king!

The food was delicious and plentiful, 4 courses and the wine was good too. The staff were attentive and informative and we were able to change the foods they had chosen depending on our food likes or dislikes. Overall it was a great dining experience and I would return there.

The service was excellent along with the food....my only negative feed back was the lack of customers dress code....5 star means you dress accordingly to many patrons were extremely casually dressed, this took away the "5 Star" effect. But I cannot fault the staff, food or service all excellent.

We even received a phone call from Brian, the part-owner, from Laos. it wasn't just a polite chat he took the time to have a conversation and then allowed me to talk to a young man there that he was working with in order to help their community.What a fantastic person who takes the time to do this... Plus, to add to the experience, we had the best Thai food we have ever had - we never knew Thai food could taste...We had an absolute magnificent time. The food was amazing, the staff were brilliant.
