Enjoy Cheese Appreciation and further your cheese knowledge with 'Australia's First Lady in Cheese', International Cheese Expert Claudia McIntosh Bowman. During this ultimate cheese tasting experience you will be indulged in an afternoon of fabulous artisan cheese from Australia and around the world

Upon arrival at the venue, you will be greeted by your cheese expert to enjoy a glass of bubbles before being seated for the experience.

Once all guests have arrived you will then be invited to take a seat around a fully laid table complete with fabulous cheese, wine, cheese accompaniments and tasting notes. Over an hour and a half period, we will taste cheese of various flavours, styles and milk types such as goat, sheep, cow and buffalo cheese and experiment with basic cheese and wine pairings.

We specialise in the education and appreciation of artisan and farmhouse cheeses produced by the best cheese-makers from Australia and around the world. Our unique courses showcase exceptional cheese and are accompanied by a variety of fine wines.

We offer a variety of class themes, from 'Spanish Cheese & Spanish Wine', 'Italian Cheese & Italian Wine', 'Australian Cheese & Australian Wine' to 'Beer & Cheese', 'Goat & Sheep Cheese' and our A1 course 'What Cheese is That?' Relative to the theme of the class, your cheese expert will present on the historical, geographical and sometimes even religious influences that have impacted on the cheeses showcased. International Cheese Expert Claudia McIntosh Bowman will provide a detailed account of what traditional cheese making techniques include and the importance that small scale cheese production holds in our society. As an interactive appreciation course, we move you through the experience comparing and contrasting cheese and wine pairings and tasting great new flavours and combinations. You are encouraged to ask questions and express personal preference and experience.

This experience will leave you more confident of your personal preferences with cheese & wine and wanting to impress your friends and family with your new found knowledge and inspiration!

The provider of this experience was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about every aspect of the industry. Communication(s) before the experience were always handled promptly and professionally and always in a friendly manner. The day itself was both informative and fun; I attended with two friends and we found the relaxed atmosphere created hard to drag ourselves away from. I love and appreciate many more cheese varieties (and wine and beer as an accompaniment) since having participate...

I already have recommended the experience to a number of my work mates but I didnt think to send them to the web site, so I will do that soon. My feedback is most positive as I really enjoyed the afternoon, Claudia (hope the spelling is O.K) is an exceptional hostess. I reckon it would be a great thing to do with your own group.

The cheeses were delicious and you gave us a framework for understanding cheeses plus a new chocolate shop. There were a few cheeses there that I hadn't tried and I'll be seeking them out. I enjoyed the informative background info eg on use of milk powder to make cheese- I enjoyed your enthusiasm and deep knowledge.
