Take a gorgeous walk thought Nightcap National Park, near Byron Bay, and see the world through nocturnal eyes. On the National Park Night Vision Tour, you'll see Australia's nocturnal native animals in the wild. See how nocturnal animals act when they don't know you're watching!

Shortly into your journey, you'll have the opportunity to see koalas, possums, bandicoots, pademelons or tawny frogmouths. You'll witness an amazing colony of glow worms doing what they do best. After your therapeutic walk, you're invited to enjoy a hot chocolate at the top of Minyon Falls gazing up at the starry night. Heaven!

Please note, as this is a national park and the animals have a very large area, animal sightings can not be guaranteed, but we can usually get a good look at 2-8 animals.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Byron Bay, New South Wales - Nightcap National Park is located in the Northern Rivers Hinterland, 45 minutes from Byron Bay. The tour includes free pick up from Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Head and other nearby areas.

Session Length

The National Park Night Vision Tour runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays year-round. Pick ups start from 8pm and you will be returned to your pick up point by 11.45pm. The walking itself goes for one hour.

Guidelines:

The tour is suitable for anyone over 10 years of age, who can walk for 1-2 km without help. No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol can be permitted for safety reasons.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for 1 person. There is 1 guide for up to 4 people, and 2 guides for 5-10 people. There is a minimum of 4 people and maximum of 10 on each tour.

Spectators:

This tour is not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

The National Park Night Vision Tour does not operate in heavy rain, but patchy showers are OK. You will be contacted that day if the weather seems undesirable, and if the tour needed to be cancelled, an alternative date would be arranged.
