During June and July the Pacific Humpbacks pass Sydney on their annual migration path from the Antarctic waters to the warmer waters along the eastern Australian coast. There are only a few thousand of these majestic creatures passing by so every sighting is a special occasion.

Can you imagine yourself only metres away from a frolicking Pacific Humpback whale in the wild? Climb aboard a sports catamaran and watch these majestic mammals of the deep wave their fins, dive and spout before your very eyes, just a few kilometres off Sydney Harbour!

Please note: THE SEASON RUNS DURING JUNE & JULY ONLY. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available, subject to availability.

Within season we have a 95% success rate of spotting whales!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Pick up from Opera House (Wednesdays only), Mosman Bay or Rose Bay, Sydney.

Session Length

4 hours in duration. Departs from Opera House 7.45 am (wednesdays only on July 5 and 12). Departs from Mosman Bay at 8.00am and 12 noon. Departs from Rose Bay at 8.15am and 12.15pm. Tours run on Saturdays and Sundays during June and July and on Wednesday during the June / July school holidays.

Guidelines:

Child price applies to 8 - 16 years old. Not recommended for children under 8 years. Passengers must be of good general health. If sea sickness should be a consideration please consult with your pharmacist for the remedies available. Don’t forget your photographic gear and binoculars.

If the sea conditions are unfavourable, the trip will be rescheduled.

Other Info:

If you can only participate on a certain day, please check availability prior to booking. Rebookings require 5 working days notice. If you do not attend as booked, then there is no opportunity to reschedule. Sightings of particular animals cannot be guaranteed.
