Join us for a sport fishing trip on board our 42ft Randell, Fly-Bridge Sports Fisher; Big Blue for a fun day out on the water!

On the morning of your sport fishing trip, you’ll arrive at Sorrento in eager anticipation of your day on the water and you’ll be met and welcomed aboard by our friendly and knowledgeable skipper. Once onboard, your skipper will instruct the crew to bring in the ropes and from there your shark fishing journey starts. As we head off to Port Phillip Heads, hugging the picturesque coastline, you’ll be issued with life jackets and by law these must be worn whilst the boat traverses the Heads. You’ll also be given a briefing on the weather, the areas you will be fishing and the types of shark or fish you could expect to catch. The locations you will fish on the day will depend on the prevailing weather and tides.

As the boat reaches its first destination, a ‘fishing lesson’ will be provided on how best to use the rods and reels, baiting and most importantly, how to see and feel for bites. You’ll also be given instructions on what fish are in the area, whilst the skipper and crew prepare the burly trail to encourage the hungry sharks.

A few shark rods will be set up and each person will have a turn on strike. From about midday, we’re sure you will have worked up an appetite and we’ll fire up the BBQ for a light lunch (included).

To make your fishing experience easier, we also have GPS and fish finding technology onboard to help us locate where the big ones might be hiding! Any legal-sized fish you catch will be cleaned, filleted and bagged for you, ready for you to take home and impress family and friends.
