Discover the essence of the pristine Australian bush on a canoeing safari on the beautiful Goulburn River in Northern Victoria. The half day canoeing adventure takes you deep into the southern section of the huge Barmah Forest, a natural habitat for many species of water and forest birds.

Your half day canoeing adventure starts at Wyuna on the Lower Gouburn River National Park, which is 25-km east of Echuca. Wyuna is just over 2-hours due north from Melbourne. After booking, we will make contact with you and arrange times and meeting places. On the day, we'll meet on the Murray Valley Highway and from there you can follow us to Yambuna Bridge where your vehicle is safely parked. We then will drive you upstream the appropriate distance and after being fitted with safety vests, and dry bags for cameras and other personal items you paddle off downstream on your adventure towards the bridge.

The river in this region is ideal for canoeing with only canoes and some local fishermen to be seen. The pristine red gum forest supports a wide variety of water and forest birds, and if you're really lucky you may get a glimpse of a shy platypus or two.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Wyuna-Yambuna on the Lower Goulburn River. Yambuna is 17-km north of Kyabram and 25-km east from Echuca.

Session Length

The only day that this fun activity is not available is Christmas Day. The half day tour usually starts at 10am and concludes at about 2pm.

Guidelines:

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. No experience is necessary as canoeing instructions will be provided on the day.

Numbers:

The minimum is two; however, we can cater for larger groups.

Spectators:

We encourage people to visit the river and there are plenty of good walking tracks in the area.

Weather:

This experience is subject to the weather. Please phone us the day before your trip to check the conditions. In the event of poor weather, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Other Info:

We are a fully accredited local tourism operator with over 10 years experience in the region. Please bring along any food or beverages you may require as they are not supplied.

    We both thought it was beautiful, relaxing and very comfortable. Brian was a genuine person and incredibly helpful. It's very nice to see people who have common sense still doing activities like this. I would definitely recommend this to others and would go again with Rob's company in the future. The service was great and the views were very tranquil. It's nice to just get away, and other packages on offer will be sought after in the future. Thanks to Rob and Brian for the great time we had!
