Broome's pristine coastline, sheltered bays and abundant marine life provide the perfect conditions to kayak. Explore this special where you have the opportunity to spot a sea turtle from your kayak in Turtle Bay.

If you have never been in a kayak before, this is one of the most beautiful places to do it.

The Turtle Bay Lookout is a great vantage point for spotting turtles and other marine life and looking at the area we will be paddling in.

At the beach you will receive a waterproof bag for your personal gear and a buoyancy vest. After a brief paddle and safety instruction about the kayaks we get on the water.

Paddling into Turtle Bay there are a number of reef systems and fantastic rock formations around Gantheaume Point. The red rock formations against the azure water are impressive and there is always the opportunity to view bird and marine life out on the water and the kayak providess a great viewing platform for this.

PLEASE NOTE: This experience is seasonal and is available 7 days a week from mid April to October.

Session Length

This kayak tour is 3 hours in duration - start times vary according to tides. This experience is seasonal and is available 7 days a week from mid April to October.

Guidelines:

No previous experience is required. There is a paddle and safety briefing at the beginning before we get on the water in the kayak. Double kayaks are used, and there is an experienced and friendly Guide on each trip. Non swimmers welcome. Kayaks used are known worldwide for their stability.

Numbers:

We operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 people with a guide ratio of 1 guide : 6 clients.

Weather:

Average temperature 28 – 32 degrees Celsius and sunny. We will reschedule tours that may be cancelled due to inappropriate weather conditions.

Western Blue Sea Kayak is the winner of the 2003 Kimberley tourism awards, has gained national eco tourism accreditation for this product and is an Accredited tourism business with the Western Australian Tourism Council.

    We had the BEST time! Although we had requested early morning, the phenomenal tides (9m that day!) meant we took an early afternoon tour.for low tide. Small group - Belinda in charge, her offsider to assist, and just five inexperienced paddlers.The paddle out was unhurried- we saw turtles, tropical fish- but on the way home, with the tide completely out, the corals were only cms below our kayaks - MAGIC! Saw a ray; and as Belinda pointed out high up on the clifftop, that's where the water level ...

    Belinda and Matt picked up my wife and me from our accommodation,we all had some laughs on the way to the Kayak site. B & M gave us the safety instructions and set us up in our Kayak and from then on we had a very informative commentary of the scenery. We sighted turtles, fish and a large manta ray.My wife and I had a BEAUTIFUL day on the water. I would thoroughly recommend the experience.
