Paddling a sea kayak is a fantastic way to explore the untouched coastline along the Port Phillip Bay. The sand is clean and the water is crystal clear as you glide along the surface. You might even be treated to dolphins and seals surfacing just metres from your kayak!

Sea kayaking is a fantastic way to explore the pristine Mornington Peninsula coastline. This is the perfect place to launch a kayak and glide across the translucent blue of Port Phillip Bay.

Your kayak tour begins with a briefing covering terminology, equipment use, skills and safety procedures. Our highly experienced guides also educate kayakers on the marine life and points of interest likely to be encountered.

Your guide will lead you via the picturesque hilltop mansions, paddle past timeless sailing boats and marinas, serene bays and inlets, sharing expert knowledge on the history and typography of the area.

The kayak tour is around 14kms which takes approximately 2 hours to paddle with a break for a snack on the beach.

This operator has recently won the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Victorian Tourism Awards for Adventure Tourism.

Portsea, Victoria.

Session Length

Tours run daily and require a minimum of 2 people to run. Tours depart at 9am. Please note that summer weekend dates are particularly busy and should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. You will need to allocate between 3 – 4 hours, including a briefing, tuition and up to 2 hours paddling.

Guidelines:

This experience is suitable for all age groups from 10 years and over. If you are over 6 foot in height or 100kg in weight, or have any medical conditions, please advise us at the time of booking.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of 2 people. Each kayaks holds 2 people and we operate with groups of about 10 – 12 people. Should minimum numbers not be met, we reserve the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

This experience may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions. Please call the centre by 5pm the day prior to your course, if in any doubt. Any cancelled experiences will be rescheduled for a later date.

You'll be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in this experience.
