Take in the harbour views as you climb the tall ship's mast and then have a go at laser clay shooting! From an antique ship, you'll shoot into the sky at laser clay targets and have a laugh at the same time! Watch guys get quietly competitive and kick in back with a BBQ on our sparkling harbour.

As if it wasn't enough to spend a beautiful day out on the harbour! Climbing the mast and a barbeque lunch and a drink make this a really fun, unique experience.

Laser-clay shooting is fun, interactive and totally safe. In each round, five 'modern pirates' line up on the deck of our magnificent tall ship to shoot at the same target with their laser shotguns. The target (the clay) is launched into the air at various speed and angles and each player has to fire twice at the target.

Each gun is micro-chipped and linked to an electronic scoreboard. Points are awarded if the target is hit and the results are electronically calculated and displayed on the scoreboard. At the end of the competition the player or team with the most points gets the glory!

Activity Highlights:

  • Laser-clay shooting with scoring
  • Climb the mast and taking in the breathtaking views
  • Photo opportunities of iconic harbour features; the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Taronga Zoo and Luna Park.
  • Be part of the crew and help set the sails
  • Opportunity to help the captain steer the ship (great photos!)

The ship departed late. The trip was pleasant. The return under sail was only a token. The ship was still under diesel power and only two small sails were set. The food was excellent and plentiful. The photographer did a very good job. The shooting was fun but unlike using a real gun as there is no feedback from the weapon. The clays are light and do no fly like real clays so it takes a bit to get the feel. Climbing the rigging was challenging. Thankfully the harbour was glassy. I enjoyed the tr...
