If you're just itching to get back in the water, but haven't been scuba diving in a while. Why not enrol in a scuba diving refreshers course to get you back in the habit? In one day, we will review your scuba diving skills and get you ready to get back into the water to discover what lies beneath!
Our PADI dive resort boasts its own on-site facilities including a theory training room and a three-tiered scuba dive training pool. Enrol in a refreshers course and discover the famous weedy sea dragons and sea horse gardens that reside beneath Port Phillip Bay.
Port Phillip Bay’s average visibility is between 10 – 15 metres and extends out to 25 metres in both summer and winter creating conditions as good as anywhere in the world. There are 60 wrecks in the area, with over 15 regularly dived.
Scuba diving refreshers courses are run daily and comprise of:
Session 1 - Theory Knowledge Review
Session 2 - Confined Water Skills Review
Session 3 - Open Water Dive where we take you to dive with the sea dragons.
PLEASE NOTE - PRE-REQUISITE: You must be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent and must be in reasonable physical condition for diving.
This operator has recently won the 2006 Victorian Tourism Award for Adventure Tourism.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Portsea, Victoria.
Session Length
Scuba refresher courses run daily and are subject to availability. Courses commence at 9am and conclude at about 5pm. Please remember to bring your Open Water Card, Log Book, bathers and a towel, a pen & a notepad.
Guidelines:
If you are over 6' in height, greater than 100kg, or have any medical conditions - respiratory, diabetes, epilepsy or fainting, brain/spinal/heart disorders, ear surgery or discharge, high blood pressure or pregnancy or are currently taking any medication please advise us at the time of booking.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. There may be up to 6 people in your group on the day.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and will be able to watch varying amounts of the day. There is undercover seating, toilets and shops nearby.
Weather:
This experience may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions. Please call the centre by 5pm the day prior to your course, if in any doubt. Any cancelled experiences will be rescheduled for a later date.
Other Info:
You'll be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the course. If you have diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, heart or lung problems you may need to consult a dive doctor prior to participating. A list of dive doctors can be found at www.spums.org.au.
