Ever wanted to try windsurfing? Let the dream become a reality and picture yourself skimming effortlessly across a sparkling ocean. It really is pure exhilaration and who better to introduce you to this amazing experience than Australia's premier windsurfing school!

This comprehensive introductory windsurfing program is designed for newcomers to the sport of windsurfing. Our emphasis is on teaching in the safest, quickest way possible and all while having fun.

We start with an instructional DVD to familiarise you with the basics followed by practise on our beach simulator. Once you have grasped the essentials, it's onto the water with your instructor .

The lessons comprise of 2 x 3 hour lessons that run on consecutive days. All equipment, buoyancy vest and wetsuit is supplied.

The windsurfing course will include:

Wind theory
Getting underway
Rigging techniques
Rules of the road
Equipment recommendations
Self rescue

Venue:

Sandringham - just a 20 minute drive from Melbourne.

Session Length

Courses run most weekends throughout summer, subject to minimum numbers. The course operates at other times during the year subject to demand and minimum numbers. The course operates on 2 consecutive days and each lesson is 3 hours in duration.

Guidelines:

Almost anyone over 8 years can windsurf. It is a technique sport, not a test of strength. You MUST be able to swim confidently. You will be required to sign an indemnity form form. A parent / guardian will be required to sign if children are under 18 years of age.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. The minimum class size is 2 people and the maximum is 5. Should minimum numbers not be met, we reserve the right to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Spectators:

We have a Kiosk nearby where family and friends can enjoy refreshments while waiting for you to complete your lesson.

Weather:

This experience is subject to the prevailing weather. In the case of poor weather, we will reschedule your experience for a later date. However, we operate in a protected harbour and rarely need to postpone because of the weather.

Our school commenced in 1979 and has introduced the sport to thousands of people over that time. We absolutely love the sport and get a real kick out of seeing you master it too. We use all the latest equipment.
